PPE for Fairfield County (CT) Front line

My name is Rosie Rao. I am currently a Fairfield resident and have been looking for ways to give back to the local medical workers on the front line of the COVID-19 issue. I reached out to a close family friend, Monica Staehely, a local Westport/Weston mom who has a background in supply chain in Corporate America. We both agreed we must do something about the lack of supply for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for our healthcare workers, especially around Fairfield County. We have decided to partner to raise money using our connections, network and resources.
Randy Roffe, a friend and neighbor, owns a local family business and has offered to help with sourcing. She has many vendors she has worked with over the 30 years her company has been in business and one of those vendors has the ability to produce PPE. We are hoping to secure any PPE we can but need some funding to get the first order started.
Once the order arrives, Monica and I will be leveraging our relationships with local doctors, nurses and hospitals to get the PPE to the front line where it is needed most. We will keep ordering as long as we have funding and will be focused on local hospitals in Fairfield county. We are hoping we can fund multiple orders here, but if for any reason we end up with any funding that can’t make a complete order of PPE due to the minimums, we will look to use those funds to feed the front line.
How can we trust the vendor? As I mentioned, Randy is a local Fairfield resident and has been working with this vendor in the past. This is NOT the first time she is working with them to produce an order.
Why don't we connect the vendor with a local hospital? The vendor doesn't sell direct. We will be leveraging Randy's relationship as a solution to the problem locally. She will help partner with the vendor to help place orders and get payment to the vendor for us.
We will be sure to post updates along the way to show you what we have been able to secure for the front line.
Anything you can contribute is greatly appreciated. No amount is too little. And a share of this page goes a long way. This is the time to step up as we all stay home and do our part to help protect the people that are protecting all of us.
