Support a fresh take on recovery: NEW LEAF HOLISTIC RECOVERY

Want to join us in taking on addiction?
Addiction is that thing no-one talks about that destroys lives, families and communities, impacting individuals of all ages, genders, cultures, and backgrounds. Together let's break the silence and offer the hope of new possibility!

At New Leaf, lives are being actively transformed - breaking out of destructive patterns, and carving new, exciting pathways towards meaningful futures. Our members consistently express the sense of warmth, intimacy and adventure they find at New Leaf -- "a place I am actually excited about going to every morning, where I am not afraid to try new things".

Our Journey:
In May 2024 New Leaf opened its doors to our first members, and since then we have served over 40 individuals, yielding remarkable outcomes, including high completion rates, measurable benefits of life balance, stress reduction, and mindfulness along with exceedingly positive reviews from our graduates and members. Importantly our members report feeling intrinsically motivated towards recovery, and enjoying the excitement of self-discovery, healing and growth. Our collaboration tree has grown over this short year to include over 23 other organizations and individuals who are supporting this important work, including Simon House Recovery Centre, Wild Rose United Church, U of C, Momentum, Chinook Winds District, City of Calgary, Calgary Foundation and many more.

Our Ask:
Having completed our pilot year, we have attained some key grants to support us into our second year, including funding from Calgary Foundation, the United We and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
These generous awards will take us 2/3 into this current year, and there is still a ways to go.
We need your help in completing this year of life-changing work.

More About New Leaf:
New Leaf serves adults of all genders, ages, and backgrounds who are motivated for sustainable recovery. We are filling key gaps in community-based recovery services, fostering a diverse and supportive environment in an accessible format:

New Leaf provides day programming in a proven and effective 12-week model that personalizes recovery within a co-ed, small-group setting. Our holistic approach views addiction through a compassionate lens, addressing the entire ecosystem of one’s life, staging meaningful change and transformation.
By holistically connecting to the mind, heart, body, and spirit, our members are able to restore harmony with the world around them and reclaim their lives. Grounded in core mindfulness and communication skill-building, our members journey through an exciting and diverse 12 weeks of experiences, ranging from neurobiology to yoga, meal preparation to financial literacy, expressive arts to one to one and group therapies and much more!

We recognize that the path to recovery is unique for each individual, which is why we offer a range of recovery pathways, including SMART Recovery, 12-step programs, Recovery Dharma, and Wellbriety.

Your donation means creating life-changing opportunities, knowledge, change, and connections for those seeking to overcome addiction.
