Ride To Power Up Kobayat 2023
Donation protected
Some of us define an energy crisis based on soaring prices or environmental impacts. There are those however whose crisis is due to no or very little access to power - 4hrs a day if lucky !!
A small group of mates who have a common passion want to begin to change this by Riding to Power Up Kobayat, a village or town in North Lebanon, by raising money to fund solar panels for the most needy. The riders (Paul, Moses, Elie, Daas and Nathan) all have heritage from Kobayat, making this cause even more special.
On Sunday July 23, we're cycling 107km from Parramatta to the Central Coast, and climbing in excess of 1200m in elevation - almost 1.5 times the height of our Kobayat above sea level.
We are looking to raise at least $25,000 to subsidise solar panel supply and installation. Funds raised will be distributed via a managed registration and random selection process of needy families who do not have access to solar energy.
All donors are welcome to a BBQ lunch at the finishing line.
Help us make a massive difference to those in need of things we take for granted everyday.
