Pound A Brick project Girls School Azad Kashmir
Donation protected
We are proud to announce ‘Pound a brick’ project.
The Girls High School Thathi Jandala, Azad Kashmir needs our help. The school is attended by 250 girls and the conditions are below satisfactory. Most of the classes are held in open air and during rainy weather and extremely hot weather it becomes very difficult for the students to study. In a region which, is a disputed territory and suffers from poverty we feel that it is important to educate the young girls in order for them to become strong, independent females who will be able to support themselves, their families and help build a positive environment.
The current situation of the building is such that the roof is leaking, there is a lot of dampness and cracks have started to appear in the structure. Our aim is to fully repair the existing building, also build two extra rooms to ensure that all students are taught indoors and finally to provide washroom/sanitary facilities.
We are urging our community to donate as little as £1. Every pound will contribute towards rebuilding this school. A pound a brick to build the future. Shahzad Raja and Naeem Brisco of Leicester will jointly ensure that all funds are correctly handled and that the project is completed as stated. Thank you in advance for your support
