PODP Charity Event
***£1,500 goal complete! let’s try get to £2,000***
We are students at the Potential Officer Development Programme (PODP) studying at Worthy Down. We’re raising money in aid of Trinity Winchester, a local charity that provides support to homeless and vulnerable people in our community.
We learned about Trinity Winchester through their website and were moved by their mission to offer free food, laundry facilities, learning programmes, advocacy and referrals for people suffering the effects of homelessness, addiction, mental ill-health and poverty. They also have a dedicated women’s service that provides a safe space for victims of domestic abuse and women who are socially isolated.
We wanted to do something to help this amazing cause, so we decided to start this GoFundMe campaign to collect as many donations as possible. Every donation will make a difference in the lives of people who need it most.
On Thursday 23rd of March, we will have three groups attempting to travel a distance of 365km using a rowing machine, a Wattbike and a SkiErg, symbolising the 365 days a year that homeless people have to live without shelter or comfort. Overall, we are attempting to travel a huge 1095km.
We’re asking for your support to help us reach our goal of £1500. Your contribution will go directly to Trinity Winchester and will help them continue their vital work. You can also help by sharing this campaign with your friends and family on social media.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and kindness. Together we can make a positive impact on our community.
