Pops 60 years of hard work burnt in minutes

Donation protected
Jim Mitchell, 82 is a man that served his country in the Navy for 4 years, devoted 40 years of his life to working at Ford, has attended Church of the Annunciation for 5 years now & has lost everything he has left in minutes. In May of 2021 Jim lost his beloved wife Estelle & before her passing and especially after his getaway has always been to work on the farm.

On November 5th 2022 around 2:45pm Jim and his daughter Laurie were sitting in the house when they smelled what they thought was smoke coming from outside. As soon as they looked out their kitchen window they found flames coming from their pole barn & immediately dialed 911 & immediate family. Jim’s first instinct was to grab a hose and try to get the fire out around the door so he could save his most prized possessions.

Don’t get me wrong, many of the items lost were essential to keeping up with his property; such as chain saws, log splitter, lawn mowers, thousands of dollars worth of tools, a tractor and many other things but there was one thing he lost that cannot have a price tag and that was his truck. A 1996 7.3 liter F250. This truck was part of his retirement from Ford in 1995 and his pride & joy other than his departed wife Estelle. He kept his truck in perfect condition and it has never gone past 63K miles on it.

We are asking that if you are reading this to please consider donating. If everyone donates a dollar it would mean the world to Jim & his family. This money is in attempt to replace what he may see as irreplaceable but his family are on a mission to make Jim smile one of his big smiles again. Whether that be by buying him another truck or to put the money towards necessities Jim needs for working on the farm.
