My name is Poppy and I am one of the current students in the Team Academy. We need your help to raise money for future backpacking trips!

The Team Academy is a one of a kind public school alternative, outdoor education program. It runs out of Archie Williams High School. It is an experiential learning model that combines the following: Backpacking, hiking, community service, internships, rock climbing, wilderness medicine, and academic courses in a cohort model environment. It is the ONLY public school program of its kind.

Friends of the Team Program is a non-profit that helps support Team so we can keep backpacking year after year. This year we DOUBLED in size and we need your help to keep Teamies backpacking for years to come.

Here’s what Team has meant to me:

It has helped me to cope with major changes and challenges in my life, and has made me a more achedemic and hard working person both in and out of school. I have learned more social and emotional intelligence because Team is such a tightly knit community that values compassion and empathy so much.
