Before Memorial Day in 1922, The VFW conducted its first poppy distribution, becoming the first Veterans Organization to hold a nationwide distribution. The Poppy soon was adopted as the official flower of the VFW.
The Mount Prospect VFW Post 1337 has been distributing and accepting donations for more than 30 years! The donations go directly and totally to help Veterans in need. 2021 we hope to once again be out offering Poppies in the Community but we are still asking for help on our Gofundme paage.
