Hi, my name is Claudia and this Go Fund Me is to help raise some money towards my sister Poppy’s and Leighton’s wedding.

2 days ago, Poppy found out via a Facebook post that the venue they had booked for their wedding next July, the Blazing Donkey, had gone into administration. This means the venue is closed, all weddings are cancelled and no one is getting their money back as the administrators have already told many people, there is nothing to give. Poppy and Leighton had already paid the owner £9000 in bank transfer, so they have lost £9000.

The owner of the venue, didn’t even have the heart to let these people know. They left a letter on the front door of the venue. No email, no sorry.

Poppy and Leighton are absolutely devastated. Leighton has a daughter, Lillie, as well as they also have a 1 year old boy, Teddy, as well as a lovely baby boy due in January 2026. All this has happened at the worst possible time with another baby on the way, so close to their wedding. With Poppy going on maternity leave again, this really leaves them in a difficult place.

I mentioned to Poppy about a go fund me but she did not want to. She doesn’t want to ask for money, but as their family, we think they deserve the happy ending they had hoped for. And they will get that if we can all help a little bit!
