Let's end the summer with a celebration!
Sunday, September 5th from 6PM-9PM
North Kingstown Town Beach
Say Goodbye to Summer Party
Starting at 530PM at the Poplar Point playground, people will gather to join in the fun of a community parade down to the town beach, led by the Providence Drum Troupe. Everyone is encouraged to bring noisemakers and wear crazy costumes!
At 630PM everyone will enjoy live music on the bandstand, with plenty of room to kick up their heels either on the grass or in the sand. Expect top notch New Orleans foot stompin fun!
Food trucks will be available beginning at 530PM for the general public.
How can you help? Well...
For a $100 donation, you and one guest will be invited to bring your own chairs and join us in the VIP tent, where we'll have some great BBQ from Dog Watch Cafe in Mystic, CT and a cash bar provided by RI Cruisin' Cocktails.
For a $500.00 donation you'll have a table reserved for you and 5 guests. You'll have great seats to dine, watch the band and enjoy the dancing. There may even be a little bonfire on the beach (we'll see if the fire dept. will allow it...).
The tent has been expanded (30'x60') so there's now room for 100, but it's first come first served for reservations. You snooze, you lose.
Let's make it a night to remember. Total cost to put on this shindig should be about $6000.00. (Costs cover the tent, permits, band, food + drink, parade, community center rental, portajohns and gear). Every donation is important and we have only six weeks left to make it happen!
Let's show North Kingstown a great time - we live in such a beautiful town and we want to share our good fortune with our community. After the year we've had, we deserve to end the summer with a bang! (If it rains we'll bring the party inside the community center).
