Pinoys on Parliament 2024

Kabangka is a national youth-led and youth-centred leadership organization that unites young Filipino/a/x-Canadians to support our representation in a variety of sectors. We aim to create a space and support fellow Filipino/a/x-Canadian youth to network, learn new and develop existing skills, build connections, inspire action, and empower young people as leaders in their communities through various programs, such as an annual conference, mentorship program and leadership and learning.

Pinoys on Parliament (POP) is a national leadership conference held annually to bring together hundreds of Filipino/a/x-Canadians (Pinoys) aged 16-30 from across Canada.

Your donations will contribute to the following:

Venue costs

Coffee, tea and refreshments

Printing costs

Conference materials (lanyards, ID badges, etc.)

Workshop materials

Honorariums for speakers and workshop facilitators

In 2019, POP was born out of the concern that despite Filipino/a/xs being one of the largest ethnocultural groups in Canada, our community is still widely under-represented in politics and positions of influence where decisions are made. Today, POP has grown to connect young Filipino/a/x-Canadians with leaders and professionals of various fields to achieve their goals and aspirations, such as politics, academia, government, social justice, STEM, wellness, the arts, business, and entertainment. Through community-building, speakers, and workshops, POP provides us with a space to collectively explore our unique identities and culture, be inspired and empowered with skills and knowledge, and discover various paths for our futures.
