Pool Marathon for Cork Penny Dinners

While losing weight under the expert guidance of Dr Eva Orsmond I began to walk in the pool of the Rochestown Park Hotel in Cork, getting up to about 8 kilometers  a week (400 lengths). I suggested to Neil Prendeville an attempts at a marathon (42km/2100 lengths) in a week and he challenged me to start on Monday mornings radio show and try to finish by programme end on Friday. When deciding on a charity, and because I was restricting calorie intake, I thought of those who need all the nourishment they can get and the great work being done by Catriona and all at Cork Penny Dinners and felt they would be fitting beneficiaries.  GoFundMe suggests a 1000 Euro target for all funds but you never know the generosity of Cork people so here goes... about 25 hours of walking in essentially 4 days in what can be a busy pool... jetlagged from travel and wondering how I got myself into this!! Thanks to Neil, Emer, Ciara and Doc and all at Red F,M for their support!  Lets gather some funds for Cork Penny Dinners!!  Mick
