Hello, my name is April. My family and I lost everything in a fire last spring. A tree that was damaged in Helene fell on a power line that set leaves on fire. Within minutes everything we owned was up in flames. The fire Dept arrived very quickly and did what they could but the winds were so strong that day (70mph) that all efforts to save our home were in vain. Within 7 minutes the fireman were having to retreat as their hoses were burning in half. We had to run literally with the clothes we had on and nothing else to escape the flames.

Thank the good Lord above, we made it out with our lives. We have been truly blessed and we're able to aquire clothing and bedding from donations from loving neighbors and faith based organizations.

We have since moved back to our property and are living in a generously donated little camper and tent. The funds we have received from wonderful people like you have helped us to provide my kids with birthday gifts and other comforts that make them feel more at home. We also have gotten power to our property only afforded from generous donation this page has acquired. ( I never knew it took so much money to aquire permits and inspections not to mention the time it took to simply get power ) it's been a long hard road. Through family and community and God we have come so far.

At this time we are trying to raise money to afford to build or buy a modest home to put on our property. We don't require a large home or anything fancy. I would just love for my children to have their own bedroom and maybe a real kitchen to cook and feed my family from.

Even though it's been tough and we've had to deal with certain dark souls who have tried to attack us and tear us down, God has been with us every step of the way. He continues to provide and send us Earth Angels for which we are extremely grateful. Our heavenly Father continues to protect us and deliver us from our enemies destroying all weapons formed against us and we will praise him forever for all that he has done and continues to do.
