Polar Plunge in Memory of Chris Oesterlin

Hi all,

On Saturday, December 5th, I'll be jumping in the ocean for a Polar Plunge in memory of Chris Oesterlin, who passed on December 13th, 2019. My goal is to raise funds in sponsorship of me getting in the water, rain or shine, and a commitment to preserving the Chris' legacy and honoring him. With this fundraiser, I hope to provide assistance and resources to those effected by suicide. All money raised will go to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Chris Oesterlin (Aug. 15, 1991), was a natural born athlete.
I knew Chris from an early age, playing baseball and soccer and growing up in a small Northshore Massachusetts town together. A fellow alumni of St. John's Prep in Danvers, Chris shattered records in track & field becoming captain, and gained stride every day in his running. After graduating from St. John's, Chris continued his education at Bucknell University, furthering himself as an all-star runner. Chris exemplified his leadership and strength with a dedication to helping others achieve their own personal milestones.

There wasn't much Chris couldn't do if he put his time and mind to it; completing Navy SEAL entrance tests, studying at New England School of Law, giving his energy and time to those around him. I'll always remember Chris, every Fourth of July he and his family would spend with mine, and the various dinners we'd enjoy in between to celebrate achievements and each other.

Thank you for taking the time to read and donate, it goes without saying how much Chris is missed by family and loved ones, but with dedication we will preserve his honor and memory, as so many others do effected by suicide.
