My name is Sean Heckert and I’ll be participating in the Dancing Stars of Atlanta Polar Plunge benefitting the Alzheimer’s Association on January 14th at Rooftop L.O.A. I’m taking on this freezing cold adventure in honor of my father-in-law, Doug Cagle, who I first met when I started dating his daughter, D’anne Cagle, when we were 16 years old. Eight years later, D’anne and I got married and about eleven years after that, we had Ce’zanne, our daughter. Mr. Cagle, as I called him, was a wonderful father-in-law. The love he had for his family was inspiring. We were all shocked when he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease at 64 years old in perfect physical shape. He passed from this horrific disease just 3 years after diagnosis, at the age of 67. We must find a cure and I want to be part of finding that cure.
