We are a dedicated group from Victoria, Australia, raising funds for Australian based charity Logged On Foundation. Logged On Foundation have been assisting disadvantaged communities and children in Nepal for many years.
We are heading to Nepal as part of a Gokyo Lakes & Everest Base Camp Leadership & Teamwork Program and then travelling to the Pokhara District to complete our charity project.
Team Xtreme consists of Jack Carmody & Russ Tomlin (Trek Leaders), Kevin Hayes, Jimmy Meunier, Christina Demers, Kellie Heyne, Nick Harris, Sharon Caruana and Rod Stewart. We are a team of skilled professionals from WorkSafe Victoria, Victoria Police & Sibelco. We will be undertaking a project to improve sanitation for a local community.
This will include constructing toilet and washing facilities. The completion of this project will provide the community with clean and reliable facilities to safeguard against disease.
To ensure the success of our project we need to purchase materials. We would appreciate your assistance in improving the lives of these wonderful people.
The project is to be undertaken during April 2019, however, funds need to be available prior to our departure on 5 April 2019, to allow the items to be purchased in-country prior to our arrival.
Our team reached Everest Base Camp in 2017 and also completed a project in the Gorkha district in 2017, providing a sustainable water catchment/supply & computer center to Bal Mandir School & Orphanage, photos below.
Please help us to achieve this goal and enrich the lives of those in need. We will keep you all updated with our progress.
We are holding a fundraising 3 course banquet dinner at 7pm on Saturday March 23rd 2019, at Downunder Curry, 417-419 High St, Northcote. We would appreciate any donations of goods and/or services to our cause for our silent auction to be held on the night. We will keep you posted with the details but please keep the night free, it promises to be a fantastic evening.
