Point Zero, A Mission Based Podcast

Donation protected
As a clinically trained social worker, I'm committed to enhance human well-being and empower people who are vulnerable, oppressed and living in poverty.  I'm also a feminist, human rights activist and journalist.

This project is inspired by my 12-year-old son -- who challenges me to rise up, everyday, and be a warrior mother.

This is my actionable response to the Presidential election, and to all of those men and women from around the world who emailed me in the last month looking for hope and answers.

I believe we can do better. I believe I can do better. And my mission is to start doing better—now.

- We need more public forums that allow for a conscious exchange of ideas.

- We need to hold heart-centered open-minded conversations, despite how uncomfortable they make us at times, about the important things that affect our wellbeing, individually and collectively, no matter what side of the aisle we find ourselves on at any given time.

- We need to create jobs in the technology sector across our nation.

- We need to give underserved people with big dreams access to media platforms, funds and mentorship so they can get their message out to a larger audience and help more of us heal.

And we need to do these things sooner, rather than later.

After much consideration and research, I’m asking this community for $15,785 to fund a multimedia project which will feature a year-long series of high quality, intelligent podcasts centered around content that informs, inspires, spurs action and tells a story of universal oneness, not separateness.

This digital publishing platform has the potential of reaching millions of people each week.

I can’t do this one alone.

I've already assembled a team of local web developers, writers and audio visual experts to collaborate with me on our launch, set for January of 2017.  We have secured donated office space and I will volunteer my time and $5000 dollars to kickstart the company.

Using my clinical skills and drawing from my journalism background, the show will discuss topics that deeply affect all of us in our daily lives: health,  freedom, politics, addiction, relationships in the new paradigm, the shifting of feminine and masculine identities in this modern era, and movements like Standing Rock, just to name a few.

We will explore the wild edges together and lift the veil so we can see more clearly.

Our platform will be interactive so men and women will have a place to share their powerful stories of loss, hope and healing.  We will ask all of you for ideas and input.  We will be an organization based on principles of inclusiveness.

With proceeds from the podcasts and any left-over monies donated from this campaign, we will continue to phase two of our plan; a mission minded media / production company focused on high quality content that teaches, inspires and motivates people to heal themselves, their families and the beautiful planet we all inhabit together. I’ve begun working with venture capital groups and the State of Connecticut to secure seed money to build on your Go Fund Me contributions.  I expect our venture to provide much needed jobs in the technology sector in my state.

If you want to be a part of something revolutionary, a company that connects people together, that gives voice to those who have something to say but have no platform to say it, that explores the glorious possibilities of our human existence, please join with me on this journey and consider participating in this campaign. Whatever contribution amount makes you comfortable, we accept with gratitude, whether it is $10 or $1,000.

Together, we rise.

Ours is a time when an awakening will accelerate our evolution as human beings and will ultimately make us a more compassionate society. As long as we keep seeking the truth with open hearts and open minds, as long as we keep listening to each other, as long as we vigorously question broken systems, we can re-imagine, in the words of writer Charles Eisenstein, a more beautiful world our hearts know is possible.
