Our Mission, Our Reality, and Why We’re Asking for Your Help

Feeding Tremont was created out of necessity, not convenience.

In our neighborhood, too many families are forced to make impossible choices — rent or groceries, utilities or dinner. We see it every day: parents stretching meals, kids going to school hungry, and communities quietly struggling while doing their best to survive.

Our mission is simple but powerful: to ensure families in Tremont and surrounding Bronx communities receive consistent, reliable access to food.

We are currently focused on providing at least one guaranteed meal per family each month, with a clear plan to grow:

from monthly meals,

to weekly food support,

to school-based food programs in some of the most under-resourced areas of the Bronx,

and eventually beyond the city.

This is not charity for show.

This is about dignity, stability, and community care.

Feeding Tremont is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, officially recognized by the IRS.
