Hi friends,
I’m Haley, and I’m hoping for a little help to get me, my husband, and our son to my brother’s wedding in Cabo this coming May. It’s such a special milestone — my brother is marrying the love of his life — and it would mean the world for us to be there to celebrate with him.
Lately, life has thrown us some curveballs. The recent government shutdown has caused delays and pay gaps that set us back more than expected, and we’ve had to put some unexpected expenses — like car repairs — on credit cards just to stay caught up. On top of that, my husband will soon be leaving for a 3-month military training deployment over the holidays. While I’m incredibly proud of him, it comes with a temporary pay cut right when our childcare costs are increasing so I can keep my small businesses running.
Between flights, hotel, and passports (which we don’t yet have), the costs have quickly become overwhelming. We’re hoping to raise $5,000 total, with about $500 needed right away to start our passport applications before the deadline closes in.
I know this is very much a first-world problem. It’s not lost on me that there are far bigger challenges in the world, and I don’t take for granted what a privilege it is to even hope for this experience. Still, being there for my brother’s wedding — after all our family has weathered — would mean so much to us.
If you’re able to help in any way, whether it’s a few dollars toward travel costs or simply sharing this fundraiser, please know how deeply we appreciate it. Every bit helps more than you could imagine, and your kindness truly means the world to us.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for helping us make this dream trip a reality ❤️
— Haley
