Rana Alhalabi is fundraising for my family in Gaza Strip

Urgent Call to Action: Help ElHalabi Family Survive I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my cousin, Alaa El-Halabi. *URGENT UPDATE: WE MUST RAISE AT LEAST $5,000 USD / $6,864.57 CAD so that the family can travel together with Alaa*

I am Alaa El-Halabi from the Gaza Strip, and over the past six months, my young family has lost everything. We have lost our beautiful, peaceful life and our safe home. Our old dreams have been shattered, and now I am desperately seeking refuge to keep my wife and two young children safe.  

On October 11, we left our home in Northern Gaza from the army’s orders. We did not know that it would be destroyed, and we could not salvage many of our belongings, except what we had with us. We were forced to travel by foot south on Salah al-Din Road, where we saw endless horror and violence. There were many moments where I feared for my own life and my family. We have been displaced now for over 6 months and I want to bring my wife and children to safety and stability. 

One day, I hope to return to my home to rebuild, but above all, I must protect the life of my wife and children. From another fundraiser, I was able to raise enough to evacuate my wife and two children. I am very grateful for this amount, but I am continuing to go fundraise so that I am able to evacuate to safety in Egypt too. I hope to be able to work in Egypt enough to sustain my family. I am pleading for your support in securing a safe future for my family.
