PLYWOOD PROJECTS
Hello Denver Metro Area.
I am a local artist involved with the new Art Gallery “Siege Gallery”.
As locals of Downtown Denver seeing our city and businesses with
boarded up windows, it breaks our heart. The thriving city of Denver
with all walks of life now looks abandoned; residents and commuters of downtown have to see this every day going to work or home.
We would like present "Plywood Projects" to keep up moral of the city and its beautiful urban environment. We have talked with the city and they said it is up to the local businesses if they would like to move forward with this project. This project would be of no cost to particapating businesses; It is our way to give light back to community in these dark times. As you can see on many of the main streets: Market ST, Larimer St, Broadway, etc local business have boarded up their windows with Plywood. This makes it look like Denver is abandoned.
We, as a collection of artists, are painting the plywood to bring back the hope and spirit of the City. Our focus for the art would be positivity, what the business is known for, encouraging words, standing strong together, first responders, Colorado love, Community, etc. This is in compliance with all Cornavirus Prevention measures.
So far we have finished two buildings Pourhouse Denver and Gaslamp. We have had 5 more local businesses that have joined since then.
We are asking for Donations to buy art supplies and paint for our artists to continue "Plywood Projects".
