In the early hours of 21/08/2020, an arson attack designed to cover criminal activity after stealing various items , destroyed the garage of a former Serviceman and serving NHS Nurse. Vital specialist equipment needed for their young son who is severely disabled and blind was totally destroyed in the fire.
The family were lucky to escape the premises with their lives but not for the due diligence and prompt action of neighbours. Attending Fire Crews quickly prevented the fire from spreading to the main residence.
Plymstock Fire Fighters have set themselves a challenge requiring them as a Tag Team, to operate various fitness machines throughout a continuous 24hr period.
