Dear Community,
The Marine Corps League along with some of our other Veterans in the community are looking to host a 250th Marine Corps Birthday Ball right here in Plymouth, MA. The venue is the Hotel 1620 and it will be held on November 8th. The theme will be showcasing the uncovered history of the first Marines of Plymouth, MA. This event will be open to anyone who would like to purchase a ticket. Our goal is to strengthen the bond in the community between our Veteran and Civilian populations. What better way to do that than by bringing the community together for a celebration.
We will be holding many fundraising events this coming year to secure the funds for our hometown celebration, which we hope to see you all at, but we are also trying our best to raise funds from every angle to put on the celebration the town deserves. If you find yourself wanting to support this cause and you’re not sure what you can do, we are setting up this account to help offset the costs and no donation is too small. The expenses will include the venue, food, music, and of course the Marine Corps Ball ceremony (which is an amazing experience in and of itself). Please be on the lookout for all our events this year, we would love to see each and every one of you there!
*If there are excess funds at the end of the year, they will remain in the Marine Corps League, Detachment 1306, Plymouth’s Ball fund account for next year as we would love to keep this tradition going.
