Pls support us against a 24 7 Maccas in Botany
Donation protected
Dear Botany & Banksmeadow Residents,
A number of residents in your local community have banded together to fight against a 24 seven drive through McDonald's in the heart of our suburb.
if this DA were to be approved it would cause irreversible damage to our community.
This page is to ask for donations from interested residents to pay a town planner to professionally review the application and breakdown 1000 pages submitted by McDonald's, and submit an objection on our behalf.
Any amount contributed is greatly appreciated.
I will provide evidence of payments and outcomes to those that wish to do so.
Some of the main concerns from local residents are:
- Traffic is projected to be doubled in the area due to one McDonalds and all the delivery APP services have not been included in this projection
- Our streets and parks will full of McDonald's wrappers
- The inescapable odours of McDonald's on a warm still summers day
- Loss of your parking on Botany Road because McDonald's took it all away for their benefit...which will allow more trucks line up there
- The extra traffic will be directed down back streets because of a proposed median strip that sends them that way 24/7
- The "car hoons" already present (out of lockdown) will congregate in the car park at 3 am...screeching through back street to get there
- Traffic will be unable to turn out of Pemberton Road, Tupia Street, Livingston Avenue or Joseph Banks Street, which happens already thanks to BP...but x10 if approved
- The G turns projected into Tupia St will be endless as cars heading to Mascot will complete this where the median strip ends
- Our small food businesses also stand to be significantly impacted if this DA were to be approved
