Help us stay in our home

My name is Laura, I am asking for some help to keep me and my boys (ages 4 and 8) in our home so that they can stay in the same school with their friends and not have any further upset or disruption. My partner and I split in 2023 and since then I have been fundraising to attempt to buy him out of our home. I bear sole financial responsibility for our sons and I work 2 jobs and care for my mum (with my brothers as well). I had 2 flats which I bought in my 20s which I sold in 2013 to pay a deposit for the home and since then the market has improved drastically so we have a large amount of equity in the home. I don't want to sell up or make money, just secure my son's futures. We have been priced out of the area so selling up isn't really an option as it would mean moving away and I have set up a local business here and my sons are both really settled with their friends and at school and I really don't want any further disruption to their lives after having to deal with their dad and I splitting up.

The law doesn't take into consideration that this is the home for our boys, or that I am solely financially responsible for them, when looking at the equity for buy out due to us not having been married. So I need £45,000 to buy him out. I have managed to raise £25,000 and I am trying to sell my car (which is proving difficult) to raise more, but it won't be enough so I have turned to Go Fund Me in the hope that the kindness of people will help us stay in our home.
