My dear friend and colleague for twenty-two years, Joleen Voss Rodriguez's son Zander Rodriguez lost all of his belongings in a three-alarm fire on February 2, 2023. The fire caused the home he stayed in to collapse, and Zander barely escaped the house with his life. Zander's belongings were burned in the fire, including a special computer for his engineering program, his truck, clothes, and shoes. Zander is a model citizen, a Pierce College alumni, and a current student at SanFranscico State University studying civil engineering. I've had the privilege of watching Zander grow up. He is a kind-hearted young man who brings joy and laughter to all that know him.
