Over three years ago, my son died from cancer as a result of this loss, I decided I needed to do something positive to help others.
My whole life has been involved in care and the care industry, both as a cara, and also a member of the British Red Cross.
So it seemed like a natural thing to do to set up a low cost mobility service to help people with equipment. They could not usually afford but badly needed.
I had no idea if it would work or not, but it took off immediately. And now I have provided support for over a thousand people,
I run at this service as a not for profit service, but I am entirely dependent upon the small donations. I get for equipment and donations each year from my Gofundme page. These donations go towards the cost of keeping the van on the road to collect and deliver equipment to people in need, and also this year the additional expense I have had in purchasing for very large, all were the tents to provide additional storage for equipment as so much comes in.
If you can help please do because any shortfall, I end up having a mate out of my benefits and that makes life more difficult. The service only functions if I have enough donations from the public to meet my expenses.
Many thanks
