Hi Everyone. You may know me as the author of Feeling Unreal (with Daphne Simeon MD,) and Stranger to Myself, as well as the founder of the Initiative for Depersonalization Studies.

IDS has been around for 8 long years this month. Our logo, designed by the late Chase Yarns, is much better known than it was in the beginning. But, like any incorporated nonprofit, we need funds to keep going. And frankly, there haven't been any donations for a long time. We keep the website up to date, hold regular support groups via Zoom, publish brochures, and keep track of media coverage of Depersonalization, and do a lot of work for free.

In honor of our anniversary, we've set a goal of $8000 by the end of January. Right now, we'd settle for $800. But if our goal of sponsoring actual research and sizable conventions is to become real, we need money. Less worthy causes receive millions in grants and yet we remain dependent on our grassroots audience. So please, just give what you can and help us see our goal so we can do more. Thank you.
