Building a stronger, safer community through horses

Since 2017, Clondalkin Equine Club has been giving young people from the greater Lucan and Clondalkin areas a safe, positive place to learn, grow, and belong. Our club teaches children and teenagers how to care for and keep horses responsibly — but it’s about so much more than that.

For many of our members, the club offers a lifeline:

A place to build confidence and purpose

A chance to connect with others and stay active outdoors

An opportunity to learn empathy, responsibility, and respect — for animals and for themselves

We work hand-in-hand with local organisations and families to give every young person the support they need. Through educational workshops, community events, and advocacy for responsible horse ownership, we’re helping create a stronger, more connected Dublin 22.

Now, we need your help to keep this work going.

Improve facilities and provide safe stabling for horses

Offer training, mentorship, and educational programs for young riders

Support families who struggle with the costs of participation

Continue promoting good animal welfare and positive youth engagement
