My wife Carol died on May 5th, 2025, after struggling with an unknown illness/disease for 10 months, in and out of the hospital. Although, in hindsight, I now know that it's been going on for several years. Her last hospital admission lasted 6 months, along with 3 months in the ICU. We don't know what was wrong with her, what caused it, or why she died. She does not even know she died. No help. Nothing to treat. No answers. No goodbye. No closure. Now I'm just here alone, wondering what to do.

Even though she will never be able to help anybody from a medical point of view, she would want me to do everything in my power to help as many people as possible in any way I can. We have always wanted to help others. That is why I started the Carol Trainor Memorial Fund.

This memorial fund was set up to do two things: Help as many people as I can, in Carol's name, with financial emergencies due to medical issues, accidents, diseases, deaths in the family, or anything else related to health or death that cause financial burdens on others. The other reason is to help as many kids as possible with whatever they might need help with: school, fundraising, college bills, or anything that a child might need that I see fit to help with. I want to help all of the kids that ran our restaurant for us during Carol's illness and after her death. I want to help the kids that came before them that started this whole business model of teenagers running my kitchen. I want to help future kids that come through Urban to help run our business. I would like to help kids that we don't even know that might simply want a college scholarship.

Basically, in the simplest form, help people with financial medical or death-related emergencies and help the kids.
