Hello, everyone. My name is Herb Morris and my wife's name is Ruth Ann Morris. We have been on a very long and difficult journey. In August of 2017, Ruth Ann had her first AFib episode. She was already being treated for high blood pressure, hypothyroidism (resulting in surgical removal of her thyroid due to cancer), and premature ventricular contractions (PVCs). She has been through the wringer with this, to say the very least, for all these years. It has been a rollercoaster ride with her going in and out of these symptoms for all these years. There have been many cardiologist appointments and in and out of the E.R. The tests have been continuous from PET scans, echocardiograms, stress tests, EKGs, blood tests, plus others, and a multitude of medications.

On March 2nd, she went into what they call "stable" yet continuous AFib, without any relief. Her cardiologist recommended an ablation and that she should seek the help of an electrophysiologist. It took some time to search and find the right one for her. So, following more appointments and tests, the appointment for the ablation was finally set for May 14th through Banner Heart Institute. The night before her surgery, she received a call from the billing department. She was to come up with $6000 the morning of the surgery (which was the very next morning). She only qualified for Medicare Part B and they only pay 80% of the hospital bill. Fortunately, accounting through Banner was able to get her set up with payments so that she could have the very much needed procedure.

I have been out of work since the end of January and on Workman's Comp with a blown-out knee. I am actually getting scheduled for a knee replacement sometime within the next month. We aren't even able to scrape by anymore. We have sold many things and have exhausted all of our resources. We will have extreme difficulties paying these bills...with many more yet to come. I am reaching out to all who will listen and hoping that you can find it in your hearts to donate to this very worthy cause. She's a wonderful and beautiful person, and my best friend! She is now so stressed about the bills, I am afraid it will undo what is taking place. She is currently going through the BLINK PERIOD, which is the next 90 days. The surgeon, an amazing doctor, told her that it's imperative for her to be as stress-free as possible during this 90 days so that her heart can heal properly and for the procedure to work.
