Please Support Nurse Critically Injured in Hit and Run

Update 9/13/2025:

Belinda was transferred out of ICU on Friday night. She is talking and is trying to process what has happened to her. The road to recovery will be long but we are relieved that she has made enough progress to get out of ICU.

My name is Suzie Lenfant and I am helping to raise funds for my cousin, Belinda Skelly, of Covington, LA. Belinda, a dedicated nurse, was struck by a car as she left her shift on September 7, 2025. The car was being driven by a coworker who left Belinda critically injured and laying on the ground. Belinda sustained numerous injuries and is now facing one of the hardest challenges of her life. As Belinda focuses on healing, her family would like to surround her with the same care and support she has always shown others.

Devoted mother of three, Belinda has always given her love and care freely to others. Anyone who knows her knows her kindness, compassion, and tendency to put others before herself.

The road ahead may be long and filled with uncertainties. My hope is that this fundraiser can ease some of the many burdens she and her children are now facing. Every donation, big or small, will make a difference to help offset household bills due to lost wages and provide stability during this incredibly difficult time.

In full disclosure, Belinda Skelly is the beneficiary of all donated funds but is still in ICU. Her daughter, Lannie Skelly, will be handling her mother's finances and household bills until she is home.
