Hello everyone,
I've been putting a lot of fundraisers out there over the last week. And you've been tremendous in your responses to them. There is so much need and so much cruelty in the world. But there is also so much hope, so many calls for justice, and love.
This page is for my friend and neighbor Curtis Griffin. His fiancée Phyllis Harmon died of cancer this year. Phyllis was abused by Rochester police officers in 2013. They did irreparable harm to her back and shoulders. They bruised her dignity but she fought on and was a fierce advocate in the effort to get city council to pass the Police Accountability Board. Sadly, she never saw her day in court.
On top of mourning for Phyllis, Curtis is also mourning for two of his family members that passed this month: his brother James and his aunt Celestine. He can't get full employment and needs help. I'm worried about him.
