Support a wonderful nurse in need and her family

On behalf of the UMASS Memorial Float Pool Family, we are starting a fundraiser for one of our nurses and friend Renee Ciampi. 

Renee has been a Nurse in the Float Pool at Umass Memorial since 2008.

She has been out of work since May 2022 due to an assault she sustained while taking care of a patient who was combative. The injury ultimately resulted in the need for surgery. She has started Physical Therapy, but she still has limited range of motion and strength in her arm. This injury has caused her to be out of work unexpectedly for months and she is still unable to work at this time.

Ever since the injury she and her family have been down on their luck. Her husbands truck, which he needs to get back and forth to work died. They are unable to secure a loan because of being out of work. Unfortunately with limited income and the inability to work at this time they are stuck.

Renee has always been the first one to help and organize fundraising efforts for others in need and we want to return the favor.
