Please Save Amir and His Family

Hello, my name is Marina Cruz. Please help me save Amir and His Family.

Update of Amir and his family June 2025:

Just like many others in Gaza, Amir and his Family have been displaced and had to sleep outside. Amir tries to get food from aid centers but they are constantly getting attacked, the donations will help afford the now expensive food along with whatever else they will need to evacuate. After losing everything please help me keep them together so they don't lose each other.

When Amir Al-Hila from Gaza reached out to me for help I learned that not only is he an intelligent young man with a profound love for civil engineering, but a deep gentle soul who wanted to save his family. Out of his family,he is the only English speaker and therefore, out of desperation, his family chose him to be the one to seek refuge. However, he didn't want to leave his family behind, so we raised the donation goal hoping to keep his family together. Even if we raise enough money just to help him escape the terrible ruins of the once beautiful Gaza, he plans on doing what he can to save his family as well.

When I saw this picture I understood why he would reach out to any stranger who would be willing to help. He had just turned 21 when reached out to me, he is now 22 and I can't imagine the internal turmoil he must be feeling. However, it just showed me just how selfless and courageous he is. Although I have not been able to find an organization to sponsor him,he put his trust in me to help him be able to save him and his family so I will do what I can in the meantime.
