Dear friends, family, and compassionate supporters,

On Tuesday night, January 7th, 2025, devastation struck our beloved Malibu community during the Palisades Fire. As Kristi was on a plane, unaware of the tragedy unfolding back home, Wade and their young daughter, Hero, were forced to flee their cherished family home.

A home that held decades of memories—a home where Wade grew up, where Kristi and Wade built their life together, and where they brought Hero to nurture, love, and raise her—was tragically lost to the flames. Despite the vigilance and hope they shared alongside kind neighbors, tragedy prevailed, leaving their family without a place to return to.

Wade, Kristi, and Hero have given so much of themselves to our community. Their dedication to Malibu schools, families, and children is unparalleled. Whether through countless hours of volunteering, advocacy for our youth, or simply being a pillar of support for anyone in need, they’ve always been there for us. They embody the spirit of compassion, resilience, and love that makes Malibu the incredible community we call home.

Now, it’s our turn to be there for them.

We’re calling on friends near and far to come together and help Wade, Kristi, and Hero rebuild their lives, their home, and their future. This is more than just helping a family—it’s about preserving the heart of our Malibu ohana. They have sacrificed so much to strengthen this community, and we can stand united to give them hope and strength for the days, months, and years ahead.
