Below is a message of gratitude from our dear friend Carla who recently found herself navigating unexpected life changes. Please help us support her in the next chapter of her journey to freedom, healing and safety ♥️

Her message:

"Dear supporters,

I want to express my deepest gratitude and humility for your unwavering support during this challenging time in my life. This summer, I had to leave my home for safety, and shortly after, my savings account was emptied, leaving me with just $5.00. A few weeks later, my checking account, which I thought was joint, was unexpectedly closed, leaving me in a state of financial uncertainty.

The situation took a turn for the worse when my August pay was held until September 25th. In my search for a way out, I discovered two credit cards in my name. When I used them to pay for legal fees, they were promptly closed, and I was faced with fraud claims. Thankfully, I have an attorney by my side until November 1.

My spouse has maintained control over our finances throughout my adult life, leaving me without any credit history or savings. To make matters even more challenging, my reliable vehicle, which was my backup home, broke down on October 4th.

I've secured shelter until January 1, 2024, but the funds I was supposed to receive for a new car and medical support, as ordered by the court, have not been deposited. My spouse believes he's entitled to everything and that I haven't earned any financial assistance.

Domestic violence is a harsh reality, and it can affect anyone. Going through a divorce is difficult, but divorcing a narcissist who believes they own you is a nightmare. Fear and desperation are the tools they use to try to force me back into a life of suffering.

I'd choose to live in my car over that, and your support is more than just financial assistance; it's a lifeline to help set another soul free, seeking freedom and a new chapter in life.
