Please help us support Makenzie & Kiernan!

On Monday, May 2nd we suddenly lost our daughter, sister & friend, Jennifer Barry at the young age of just 39. Jen was home with her two children when she suffered a heart attack in the middle of the night.  Unfortunately, paramedics couldn’t save her in time.  It is with extremely heavy hearts that our family faces this tragic and unexpected loss and must now begin to pick up the pieces.

 

Jen was diagnosed with diabetes at just 9 years old.  While she struggled throughout her life with other illnesses she remained strong and determined as she battled each day. Jen was hardworking, caring, strong-minded, and humble. She was unbelievably intelligent, completing her Masters at Fordham University, and ultimately became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for both adults and children. Most recently, Jennifer fulfilled a dream to open her own practice, which we were incredibly proud of.  

 

Jen leaves behind her two beautiful children, Makenzie (16) and Kiernan (13). They have lost their mom and best friend who was taken from them far too soon.  Jen loved her kids more than anything and will no longer be there to support them.  While the road will be emotionally long and hard for these kids, we’ve created this page to accept donations that will be used exclusively to help Makenzie and Kiernan as they enter these critical years of their lives. 

 

Please pray for her children during this devastating and extremely difficult time in hope that they may feel God’s love and comfort each day. If you can support Makenzie and Kiernan in any way as they attempt to figure out life without their mom, that would make a big difference.
