Please help us raise funds for a safe space bed for Finley

Hi, I'm Lauren and along with my Husband Marc we have 3 children, 2 of which are Autistic. Finley however has alot of other things going on including global development delay, Non verbal, PICA (eats non edible items) as well as mobility issues, hypermobility and no understanding. We have come to the decision to create this Gofundme to try and raise money for a special needs safe space bed for finley, as at 3 years and 8 months old he is still in a cot which is becoming increasingly too small and no longer safe for him, a couple of months ago Finley climbed out of the cot, fell and fractured his left wrist, Finley has absolutely no concept of danger and regulary puts himself in dangerous situations even though there is someone present at all times. We've asked anyone and everyone for help and support regarding Finley feeling like we are taking 1 step forward and 5 steps back, including occupational therapy who have said they can't help us with a bed as it's classed as a restraint and to just put a mattress on the floor for Finley to sleep on so the risk of him climbing and falling is reduced.

HOWEVER due to Finley eating non edible items and if not somewhere that is secure this is even more dangerous for Finley and poses a chocking risk as he regularly puts things in his mouth and has chewed on wires that have been plugged in and switched on, even to the point where he has exposed the wires within. As a family we feel we are fighting a loosing battle with no support trying to keep Finley safe and get him the equipment needed so that he can thrive in safely.

If Finley isn't in a cot or somewhere enclosed of a night the potential for Finley to be put in danger is extremely high and its just a risk we don't want to take.

Any help would be so appreciated but even sharing will help.

Not enough help and support is done for children with special needs and everything is a constant fight, its emotionally and physically draining for all involved.
