My name is Kasia and I am the wife of Piotr. I am writing to you with hope, but also with fear.

My husband is 42 years old. In 2016 our lives changed forever – Piotr suffered his first epileptic seizure. Tests revealed a brain tumor – astrocytoma grade II. He underwent partial surgery and radiotherapy. The tumor was “asleep” for several years, and during that time we cherished every single day of peace.

Sadly, in October 2024, the tumor came back. It grew and was reclassified as astrocytoma grade III. Piotr has just finished another 6 weeks of radiotherapy, which ends in September 2025. Now we wait for the first scan, but we already know one thing – this disease is unpredictable and we cannot afford to waste time.

That is why we must act now.

We are looking for every possible chance to stop the tumor and give Piotr more life. We have two treatment options:

NanoTherm Therapy – an innovative method available in Germany, using magnetic nanoparticles to heat and destroy tumor cells from the inside.

TTFields (Tumor Treating Fields) – a modern therapy where the patient wears a special device generating low-intensity electric fields that block cancer cell division. The cost of this treatment is around 27,000 PLN per month.

These amounts are far beyond our reach. That’s why we are asking for your help.

This fundraiser is open-ended, as we don’t know how many months of treatment or how many procedures Piotr will need. But we do know one thing: every donation is a real chance for life.
