Hi, I’m Alfie’s mum, and this is Alfie.
Alfie has struggled with his mental health for most of his life, but in 2023, things took a turn for the worse.
He has now been diagnosed with autism, depression, anxiety, emetophobia and OCD, and sadly, these conditions control so much of his everyday life.
Alfie is a Manchester United fan, although we havnt been able to get him to a game since 2022 due to his illness.
Things that many of us take for granted, like leaving the house, going to school, seeing friends or simply enjoying being a teenager, can feel impossible for Alfie.
As his mum, it’s heartbreaking to watch your child struggle and feel so limited by things that are beyond his control.
Alfie turns 16 October 27th, and more than anything, I want him to have something positive to look forward to.
My dream is to buy him a PC setup so he can connect with people online, make friends, explore his interests and hopefully start his own streaming journey, something he is desperate to give a go, which will also give him a career opportunity as his options are limited.
At a time when so much feels out of reach, I want him to have an opportunity to discover something he loves, build his confidence and feel part of a community.
Unfortunately, I simply can’t afford to do this on my own.
That’s why I’ve set up this fundraiser, with a goal to help give Alfie this opportunity.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how small the amount, it would mean more to us than you could ever imagine.
And if you can’t donate, sharing our fundraiser would mean just as much.
Thank you for listening to Alfies story, and for your kindness. It really does mean the world.
