Please help my brother Matthew and his family ::

Dear family and friends,

As some of you may or may not know, 11 years ago my brother's first child was born. Unfortunately, the child’s mother had already gone back to her home state of WV and blocked all communication from our family. Throughout those 11 years our family continued to try to find the mother and child to establish a relationship. We were never successful.

On August 18th 2021, our prayers were finally answered, as the mother's family finally contacted my brother's wife to have an open conversation and establish a relationship. Over the next few days, my brother and his wife were made aware of his daughter's living conditions. Matthew and his wife immediately booked flights to AZ, contacted an attorney and filed two emergency petitions: one for custody and one to establish paternity. They were granted custody until the next hearing on 9/9. The judge also ruled they would be able to leave AZ after paternity was established (which it was); however, as of 5:00 pm EST today, the judge has not yet ruled the notice/motions.

Our family has prayed for the day we would finally have contact with Kloe. Now we finally do. We are very, very thankful. However, Matthew and his family need help. They have an incredibly long and winding road ahead, which will likely have a number of bumps and crossroads to navigate. The first, of course, being to get Matt, his wife Nikki and his daughter Kloe, back to their home in Maryland.

As you can imagine, Matt and Nikki are accumulating a lot of unexpected costs (flights, attorney fees, lodging and transportation rentals, etc.) in addition to their existing living expenses. Please, if you are able to help in any way, I know that Matt and Nikki will be eternally grateful. We know to date, they have put out an unexpected $6,000. It has just been an incredibly emotional week for everyone.

Lastly, please pray for my brother and his family,, regardless of your religion and/or beliefs. They need our prayers. Everyone needs our prayers. We pray that God will guide this entire situation into a peaceful & healthy relationship for all. Please send those prayers to Matt, Nikki and Kloe.
