Help a Kind Family in Central Java Build a Safe Home
Hi everyone,
I'm reaching out to ask for your support for a kind and hardworking family in Central Java, Indonesia—people who once helped me when I was far from home, and who now need help themselves.
I met this family during a visit to Jogjakarta a few years ago. They welcomed me with warmth, helped me find my way around, and left a lasting impression with their kindness and humility. Today, they’re facing incredibly difficult living conditions.
Their Situation
Both parents work full-time jobs for less than €5 a day.
They have two children: an 11-year-old girl and a 5-year-old boy.
They currently live in a fragile structure with bamboo walls, a sand floor, and an old mattress on the ground.
Recently, they contacted me through WhatsApp to share their urgent need:
Their home is falling apart, and though they were accepted into a government program that provided basic materials to build a simple house, they don’t have the funds to complete the construction. The building has come to a halt because the rest of the materials and labor are up to them—and they simply can’t afford it.
How You Can Help
Every euro you give will go directly toward:
Cement, bricks, and roofing
Labor costs to finish the structure
Ensuring the children have a safe, dry place to sleep
This family has no access to the internet or social media. They can't tell their story—but I can. They gave me help when I needed it, and now I want to return that kindness with your support.
Please consider donating or sharing this campaign. Every little bit truly helps.
Thank you for your compassion.
