Tragic Loss for the Sobczak Family

I am devastated to share that longtime family friend and community member, Thomas Sobczak, passed away suddenly on Thursday, February 24th. Thom was a devoted, loving husband to his wife, Carol and father to their three children, Melissa, Tobias and Lillian. Thom was always dedicated to helping others, especially within his community. As an active member of our local community, Thom served on multiple committees within the school district and was a big part of creating the Carle Place Library District. Thom, Carol and their children have been considered our extended family since 2004, when our son, Evan, and Tobi became best friends in first grade. This page is to help a family who has now become a single-parent family, losing more than half their income due to a heartbreaking loss. I'm reaching out because we are a community that comes together to help each other in times of crisis.
