Thank you so much for your continued support! I cannot tell you how moved I am by the generosity and dedication of our small community. It is indeed an honor to be able to continue bringing these events and films to the area, and I do wish it was not so expensive to run this place. I still feel very strongly that we are serving the community, so I will continue to do everything I can to keep the Savoy alive - but I absolutely could not do this without the help of our community!

I will be wrapping up this fundraiser on Friday, Nov 7th. We have more or less achieved our goal, but if you have not had a chance to contribute - please do what you can, and thank you in advance!

A bit of understanding for this fundraiser

This summer we launched this campaign to help offset the cost of upgrading our heating and cooling system. We were able to raise a small amount towards that goal, but we are far short of the funds needed to make this happen. As a result, I am looking into a loan to pay for this much needed work as the contractor is finally available and I don't want to miss the window. The new system will not only efficiently heat and cool both spaces, it will also bring much needed fresh air into the space while clearing out the stale air, this will be a big improvement, and it is long overdue.

Besides the need for this new ventilation system, it has been a very slow summer, and we have fallen behind on rent and other costs, and are now in need of some relief. The cost of running this small theater seems to always outstrip the money it brings in, but we still feel that it fills a need in our community. We are still bringing important films and discussions to Montpelier, and the only way we can continue to do that is with your help!
