PLEASE HELP THE EMPLOYEE'S OF BOGUE'S RESTAURANT

As many of you know, BOGUE'S, long-time, favorite, restaurant staple in Birmingham ... CLOSED two weeks ago. That closing left several loyal employees out of a job. The official word came after the employees were told the restaurant would be closed for a week and were led to believe they would return to work in a week. Unfortunately, on the day they returned, they were told the restaurant would be closing for good.

Many of you know the staff that has been running Bogue's for years: Kelli, Joyce, Richard, Tom and Ursula. (And of course, Ella, but there is a separate fund-raiser for her.) Both Kelli and Joyce had been with Bogue's almost 20 years each. These employees lost their only form of income without a moment's notice. Like a lot of us, missing one paycheck can cause a lot of stress. At this point, they have lost 3 weeks. They need help.

To help these hard-working people who showed up to work every day for all these years, we hope donations can help tide them over until they can find other employment. If you wish to donate, please do. If you can't, we would appreciate it if you would share so others who might like to donate, can.

So many of us have been very sad about the closure. Hopefully, donations from those willing to help will allow them to find other employment and cover some of their bills in the meantime.
