Hello Friends & Family.

Our family is reaching out on behalf of our dear cousins Brandon and Jade LaBarge, and sweet little Lily who is 3 months old. This beautiful, young family is facing a very challenging time with their new baby girl. Unexpectedly, 3 month old Lily began to struggle with infection and fevers which then led to seizures.

Lily was quickly taken to Salina Regional where her seizure lasted an hour and forty five minutes. The ER doctor performed a spinal tap, and came to the diagnosis of Bacterial Meningitis. Bacterial Meningitis is where bacteria enters the bloodstream, and travels to the brain and spinal cord. Meningitis affect the membranes that help protect the central nervous system. This type of infection is very serious, and can be life threatening if not caught and treated quickly. Due to the severity of her seizures, and the level of care she needs, Lily was transported to the Pediatric ICU at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita about 4 AM Friday (1/7). She then tested positive for RSV. Her poor immune system has a lot of fight yet to do, and she is exhausted. Jade & Brandon feel confident about the nurses and doctors surrounding Lily. Every single nurse and every single doctor they've worked with has been phenomenal. They are making informed decisions, and truly providing the best care possible.

This young family is facing many obstacles, but most importantly they are focusing all of their energy on Lily and her health. In this time, Jade & Brandon are unable to return to work and will be met with many medical bills. It is in these times that we as friends and family come together to support our loved ones. They will be so grateful for any support you are able to offer. Please keep the prayers and love coming. We will keep everyone updated on Lily and the family.
