Please Help Support Sequoia, Rodney and Baby

Hello everyone, thank you for taking the time to read this. I'm starting a Good Fund Me for my daughter Sequoia, her partner Rodney and their baby who will be arriving mid-June. Sequoia and Rodney have both had a very hard 2024 full of struggles and much stress. Rodney experienced homelessness more than once. After he secured a good job, which he is still at, they were both very excited about the first paycheck, but Rodney was robbed of this as well as his second! Sequoia experienced this stress alongside Rodney as well as her own. She began having health issues January, 2024. She lost a ton of weight and had unexplained diarrhea every day, multiple times a day. This caused her to have to leave her job. I took her to many doctors and not one was able to help her. They tested her for absolutely everything under the sun- including Lymes, AIDS, and so many other things. We never got answers. I even took her to a naturopathic doctor twice after the mainstream doctors continued to let us down. I felt like I was losing her and had to watch her waste away without knowing what to do. Finally (!) in September, 2024 she had a colonoscopy and an endoscopy and was diagnosed with chronic Crohn's Disease. After numerous other struggles and stressors (too many things happened in 2024 to share them all here, including our family members-four of us- very suddenly living in three different places), Rodney and Sequoia now have their own apartment. They are also expecting a baby in June! Rodney has been working very hard and providing them food, gas, rent and utilities. Sequoia just started a new job yesterday (Jan 7th) after not being able to work for many months. They are still struggling to make ends meet, as I'm sure so many of us can understand at this time. I am starting this fundraiser for them because I want them to feel held and cared for and loved and supported by other people. And I have been trying to help them for a very long time, but I am delaing with my own struggles right now and am not able to help very much. I would love for them to feel secure and unstressed for the arrival of their baby. This money we raise will allow them to get healthy food (Sequoia has just applied to get WIC as well), to pay for much needed work on the one car they have and rely on so much, and to try to enjoy themselves a little bit before baby arrives.
