Hi, as most of you know I’m currently at college studying T Level Health & Social Care, and I’ve been given an amazing chance to volunteer in Bali this coming January.
The project is all about community healthcare, I’ll be learning how modern nursing works alongside traditional Balinese healing, herbal medicine, and wellbeing practices.
This trip means a lot to me because my dream is to become a paramedic in the future.
Volunteering in Bali will give me real world experience in healthcare, show me how different cultures approach wellbeing, and help me grow both personally and professionally.
As part of the terms of the programme, I have to fundraise £100 by 9th January 2026 in order to take part. I’ll be leaving for Bali on 27th January 2026, so I’m asking for your support to help me reach this target.
I’ll also get to live in a Balinese community, join cultural activities, and see how people tackle challenges like nutrition, sanitation, and mental health. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to learn, give back, and experience something completely new.
Any donation, big or small, will help me reach this goal and make this volunteering trip possible.
Thank you so much for supporting me — I can’t wait to share photos and stories from Bali when I’m back, Mia xx
Hi everyone! I’m so grateful to say I’ve already raised more than the £100 required for my volunteering trip to Bali, honestly, thank you so much for all your amazing support!
The programme asks me to raise at least £100, I’d love to use any extra donations to support a local healthcare charity in Ubud called the Bumi Sehat Foundation
Bumi Sehat – Bali - Bumi Sehat Foundation
They provide free maternal and child healthcare, birthing services, and general medical care to families who otherwise couldn’t afford it.

This means your kindness will not only help me take part in the project, but also directly benefit the community I’ll be living and volunteering in.
As a T Level Health & Social Care, student this feels like the perfect way to connect my journey to becoming a paramedic with giving back to the people of Bali.
Thank you again for helping me on my journey — I’m excited to share updates from Bali with you all!
