Greetings All,

As most of you know, my name is Mensa (MK Freeman*) and I am a Fine Artist, Muralist, Designer, Occasional Disc Jockey and Educator. Currently, I am concluding a trip through Europe that revolved around me completing a full-scale music project for a band I belong to. Upon the end of my current venture here, I will have already been out of the USA for three months, however, a wild idea has entered my head. Instead of turning around and heading directly back home to the United States, I figured that it would actually be fun to head down to South America and use it as an excuse to do a few murals. The big question on my end is, how many murals can I do? Honestly, I don't know, but I think raising money on my end towards materials, food and where I stay would allow everything I make to be free for the folks in the communities I'd hover through. For starters, I am landing in my buddy Peter's homeland of Bolivia where he owns an apartment I can rent out.

Through some of Peter's connections, he and I are already sorting out locations in La Paz with walls I can paint. Other countries I have in mind are Columbia, Brazil, Peru and Mexico but if any of you have any suggestions or family members in these countries or close enough feel free to let me know!

I seek to raise 9500usd to cover housing, food, materials and some of my travel expenses. I project that with 5500usd and a very mindful approach I could buy enough acrylic paint to make at least a dozen seven by seven Foot murals. With the Remaining 4000usd, I could cover my housing and food costs for four or so months. Murals are what I'd LOVE to make but in each country I will also offer hand-made signs to anyone with a small business. I know some of the local folks in some of these countries will feel some kind of way about receiving free, large-scale, art from a total stranger so I am leaving the door open for them to barter simple things with me. At the most, I will accept some kind of home-cooked meal from the individuals in-question or, at the Most, maybe some kind of hand-made clothing? But that is where I draw the line. FYI! I have a bag of brushes on me, so at least that is covered.

Naturally, I don't really know how much money I will raise with this, I just figured it was a cool concept to pursue. The last time I attempted something like this, my gofundme got blocked, so I'm a bit jaded but I think this is worth the effort.
